Rubber Extrusion Profiles – EPDM-Solid & Sponge, NBR, SBR, NR, Viton

1. Co-Extrusion
2. Mono Extrusion
3. Flocked Glass Run Channels

Rubber extrusion profiles are manufactured from various elastomers, with EPDM, NBR, SBR, NR, and Viton (FKM) being the most common, each selected for specific chemical, temperature, and environmental resistances. These profiles are used in Automotives, construction, and industrial applications for sealing, cushioning, and insulation

Key Rubber Materials and Their Properties

1. EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer): Known for excellent resistance to UV, ozone, and weathering, making it ideal for outdoor and Automotives applications. It handles temperatures up to 110°C.

2. NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber): Offers superior oil and fuel resistance, suitable for gaskets and seals in oily environments. It is typically used for temperatures around 80-90°C.

3. SBR (Styrene-Butadiene Rubber): A cost-effective, high-wear-resistant rubber suitable for general-purpose applications.

4. NR (Natural Rubber): Offers high tensile strength, tear resistance, and excellent elasticity.

5. Viton: High-performance material with exceptional resistance to high temperatures (up to 300°C), chemicals, and fuels.

6. Other Materials: Silicone (high/low temperature), Neoprene (CR, weather/oil resistant), and Butyl (IIR, gas impermeability) are also used.
